Terms and Conditions
Last updated October 30, 2026
These terms govern your use of Slotkite: our website (slotkite.com), the Slotkite dashboard and mobile app, and the business websites and booking pages we host (together, the “Service”). Slotkite is a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada (“Slotkite”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Slotkite gives service businesses (“Businesses”) a website, online booking, client and appointment management, online payments, and booking notifications by email, text message and push notification. Some plans include an AI tool that drafts website content from the details you give it; review what it writes before you publish it, as you’re responsible for your website’s content. Clients can cancel or reschedule their bookings online within the window the Business sets. Clients who book with a Business through the Service book with that Business, not with Slotkite; the Business is responsible for the services it provides.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You’re responsible for activity in your account, including by team members you invite.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Plans, free trial and billing
- We offer a Basic and a Pro plan. What each includes, such as team members, website pages, gallery photos, text message credits, email campaigns and AI website drafts, is shown on our pricing page and in the dashboard.
- New Businesses get a 7-day free trial; no payment card is needed to start. When it ends, the website and online booking go offline until you subscribe.
- You can switch plans from the dashboard. If you move to a plan with lower limits, content beyond them (such as extra pages, photos or team members) is kept but hidden or turned off until you upgrade again.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance each month through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, plus applicable taxes, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. Cancelling stops future renewals; the Service stays available until the end of the period already paid. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period.
- Some plans include a monthly allowance of text message credits, and the free trial includes a small one. Unused monthly credits don’t carry over.
- Any Business can buy text message packs as one-time purchases. Purchased credits don’t expire and are used once the monthly allowance runs out. When no credits are left, texts aren’t sent; email notifications continue. Credits for texts that fail to send are given back.
4. Your content and your clients’ information
- You keep ownership of the content you add (text, photos, services) and give us permission to host and display it to run the Service.
- You’re responsible for your content and for having the right to use it.
- For your clients’ information, you’re responsible for collecting it lawfully, telling your clients how you use it, and responding to their requests. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Text message (SMS) notifications
Program: Slotkite booking notifications. When clients give their phone number while booking with a Business that has texts on, and the booking page tells them they’ll get texts, or the Business records that they agreed, they receive booking confirmations, appointment reminders and cancellation notices by text, for every booking until they reply STOP.
- Message frequency varies with your bookings, usually one to three messages per booking.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- In the US and Canada, reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; you’ll get one message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or email support@slotkite.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We don’t share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties for marketing; see our Privacy Policy.
Businesses must only record that a client agreed to texts when they have, and must not use the Service to send marketing text messages.
6. Online payments
Businesses can connect a Stripe account to take deposits or full payments from clients when they book.
- Payments go directly to the Business’s own Stripe account. The Business is the seller, and its relationship with Stripe is governed by the Stripe Services Agreement, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Slotkite is not a party to the payment.
- Slotkite charges no fee on these payments. Stripe’s own processing fees apply.
- When a Business cancels a paid booking, the payment is refunded automatically. When a client cancels online within the cancellation window, it’s refunded too, unless the Business has turned off refunds for client cancellations.
- The Business is responsible for its prices, its cancellation and refund policy, taxes, and any disputes or chargebacks with its clients.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law, including anti-spam and privacy laws;
- publish content that is illegal, misleading, infringing, hateful or harmful;
- send messages to people who haven’t agreed to receive them;
- make fake bookings or book through automated means;
- interfere with the Service, try to access other accounts, or probe or overload our systems.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Third-party services
The Service works with third-party services such as Google Calendar, Stripe, Cloudflare, video and map embeds, and outside booking links you choose to use. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them.
9. Our intellectual property
Slotkite, its software, design and branding belong to us. Business websites and booking pages include a “Powered by Slotkite” credit, which the Pro plan lets you turn off. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your Business from the dashboard at any time. Its website goes offline right away and its data is permanently deleted 30 days later. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or don’t pay, with notice where reasonable.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it reliable, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every notification will be delivered. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Slotkite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, bookings or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your services to your clients, or your breach of these terms or the law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify Business users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
